New Nintendo Switch emulator Suyu lasted less than 24 hours before take down
- Details
- Category: News
After I took a closer look at Suyu (sue you), I realized it was just Yuzu with a re-branding. Apparently I was not the only one as Gitlab recieved a DMCA take down notice and all devs accounts were disabled. Nintendo seems to be on the war path lately and who knows who they will go after next. The fall out from the Yuzu / Citra lawsuit has already caused several developers to throw in the towel. On Android, the Pizza emulators (GBA GBC) have been removed, and Drastic (NDS) is now free but will more than likely be removed soon.
There is another Switch emulator for Android that I've been keeping an eye on, Strato. It would appear the lead developer on that project has also decided to call it quits.
