Genymotion is an Android VM (Virtual Machine) geared more towards developers and less towards gamers and casual users. Genymotion also requires VirtualBox to be installed on your computer.

I found it to be a bit time consuming to setup. I had to disable my integrated graphic on my Intel CPU and only use my dedicated Nvidia GPU. I also had to change firewall and VirtualBox settings and reboot my computer before it would load and run.
